Marika leads on the commercialisation of technologies from Imperial’s Faculty of Engineering and has led on the licensing to startups such as ProtonDx, Biomex and Reco Medical since joining Imperial in 2019. Prior to Imperial, Marika spent 20 years in the diagnostics industry across the fields of cardiology, infectious diseases and women’s and reproductive health. Roles spanned R&D, medical affairs and more recently involved leading new business associated with external partnerships. She holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering and PhD in Biotechnology from Lund University, Sweden.
